Chapter poised to return to campus fall 2009!
Pi Lambda Phi and Temple University have come to a tentative agreement to allow recruitment for new members in the fall of 2009. The IHQ has offered a member of the professional staff for at least one and a half semesters to recruit and select a founding father class. After which, the chapter will receive formal recognition from Temple in January 2010. Starting from scratch was not our preferred option, but ultimately Temple’s administration declined any agreement that included members from a “dissolved” student organization. We thank the remaining undergrads for their efforts and commitment over the past two years, and welcome them into the ranks of PA Alpha Delta alumni.

Fire at 2000 North Broad Street
A fire broke out on June 30 at 2000 North Broad Street, the former location of the chapter house. The house was sold to the Greek Housing Alliance earlier in June for $775,000.
According to Ryan Overturf '07, who was on campus to witness the incident, the fire burned most of the second floor including the party room back, and the majority of the third floor. The Norris Street windows exploded onto the sidewalk.

Spring 2008 Golf Outing
Threats of impending rain and hail and were not enough to keep Pi Lam brothers and friends from raining errant balls (like hail) on unsuspecting fairways and golfers at this year's spring golf outing. It turned out that the "heavy stuff" didn't come down for a while and nearly 30 brothers and friends got in 18 at Jeffersonville Golf Club.

Chapter House Sold
On June 9, the Alpha Delta Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi, Inc. (a.k.a. House Corporation) came to agreement with the Greek Housing Alliance on the sale of the property at 2000 North Broad Street. The chapter house has been sold.
The sale of the house was the culmination of a long process of deliberation. Selling the house that was so identified with many of our fraternal memories required the House Corporation to separate sentiment from practicality. This was in the best interest of the PA Alpha Delta Chapter.

Chapter House For Sale
After long deliberations, the house corporation, advised by Jerry Balka ’51, voted in March to place the PA Alpha Delta chapter house on the market and field offers for its sale. This was not a decision that was come upon easily. The chapter has called the John Stafford Mansion at 2000 North Broad Street our home since 1969.

Kovner Banquet 2007
While past banquets favored attendees with a thick skin and protective eyewear, this year brothers felt little cause to engage in raucous behavior, instead focusing on catching up and embellishing their fraternal reputations. The event would serve as a platform to discuss the state of the chapter, recent achievements and plans for the future.
